PETALING JAYA: MyDigital announced that it has suspended the newly-launched ‘AI untuk Rakyat’ portal today (Feb 2).
“Due to unprecedented high surge of registrations, the AI untuk Rakyat portal is temporarily suspended pending cybersecurity review by the platform provider,” said MyDigital on its Facebook page and website.
MyDigital is an agency under the Economy Ministry tasked with executing initiatives under the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint and National 4IR policy.
The agency said it is currently resolving the matter and “will get the programme up as soon as possible”.
The AI Untuk Rakyat portal under “AI.gov.my” was launched on Jan 16 to serve as a free learning portal for the rakyat to develop understanding of artificial intelligence or AI.
The programme is divided into two modules – AI Aware and AI Appreciate.
For each completed module, users can generate a digital badge through the portal. MyDigital estimates that users will take four hours to complete each module.
Public Service Director General, Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Aziz has announced via a circular dated Jan 17 that all civil servants must complete the ‘AI Untuk Rakyat’ learning programme to increase their awareness on the use of advanced technology.
