Because of this high-volume of supply, and lack of pressure, small forwards Patrick Lipinski, Bobby Hill and Jamie Elliott are toying with the big Power defenders – Aliir Aliir, Esava Ratugolea and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher – who controlled the airways in the first term.
It will be hard to squeeze a Collingwood defender into the best players, but Darcy Moore, Billy Frampton, Jeremy Howe, Brayden Maynard and John Noble have been miserly.
Ken Hinkley needs to dare his players to throw themselves into the contest and take risks to have any hope in the coming final term. But, it’s hard to see that happening.
