A new month means new freebies for PlayStation Plus subscribers around the world. The month of May 2024 sees a very interesting set of free PS Plus games that includes EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, and Tunic. Aside from this, subscribers can also get a few extras such as the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 and the Ultimate Team Starter pack for EA Sports FC 24.
All of these games, expansions and additions will be available from May 7th, 2024 onwards. PS Plus subscribers who haven’t yet downloaded April’s games have until May 6th, 2024, to do so. You can find more information about April’s lineup of games here.
EA Sports FC 24 (PS4, PS5)
This marked title marked EA’s first foray into a football game without the icon FIFA title. However, at its heart, this is still the ultimate football game for fans. With over 19000 fully licensed players, 700 teams, and 30 leagues including men’s and women’s UEFA Champions League, it is THE game for any football fan. Meanwhile, cutting-edge technologies such as HyperMotionV, enhanced Frostbite Engine and PlayStyles optimised by Opta means that gameplay is as realistic as ever. Further, PS Plus members can also get a boost in their Ultimate Team with the Ultimate Team Starter Pack which includes 11 untradeable players that are rated 82 and above.

Ghostrunner 2 (PS5)
Ghostrunner is what you get when you combine Mirror’s Edge with Cyberpunk 2077 — a first-person action-adventure platformer. Ghostrunner 2 builds upon the success of the original while following the game’s basic mantra. Move through levels without taking any damage. However, in the sequel, players get to enjoy a bunch of new features such as improved combat as well as motorbike sections.

Tunic (PS4, PS5)
Tunic is an action-adventure game played from an isometric perspective. You take the role of an anthropomorphic fox who has to battle various enemies to progress. The game also offers an open world with numerous hidden areas and secrets for players to find. The gameplay allows players to attack, dodge and roll. Players can also use potions and magic to aid them in their journey.

Destiny 2: Lightfall (PS4, PS5)
This expansion to the game sees the planet head over to Neptune to visit Neomuna, a futuristic city, even for the time period of Destiny. There is also a new Darkness subclass called Strand that allows for the manipulation of reality through an extra-dimensional matrix called the Weave. There is also the introduction of a grappling hook that allows for a new way to traverse the world.
