Outside of a few tweets congratulating his former fighters, former Bellator president Scott Coker hasn’t really been heard from since his departure following PFL’s acquisition.

However, Coker is back in the mix with new a fight event series called Fight Night at the Tech. The inaugural event takes place May 18 at Tech CU Arena in San Jose, Calif. Broadcast details have not yet been announced.

Coker will serve as an executive producer, working alongside former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, who is also heavily involved with the event.

No fights have been announced for the event yet, though the promotion indicates it will feature both seasoned veterans and rising prospects.

Coker served as the Bellator frontman from June 2014-November 2023 when the PFL acquisition was finalized. The exact mechanism of his departure is unknown.

Prior to his near-decade-long stint with Bellator, Coker was the CEO of Strikeforce, a promotion the UFC acquired in 2011.
