JEE Main 2024 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the online registration window for the Joint Entrance Exam Main 2024 session 2, today (March 2) in an official notice. Eligible candidates will be able to register themselves on the official website- jeemain.nta.ac.in, till the extended period of March 4, 2024 10:50 PM, and pay the fee by 11:50 PM.
The notice reads, “This opportunity is being provided for all those candidates who applied for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 but could not register for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2 earlier as well as for those candidates who want to apply as a fresh candidate for the JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2.”
The notice emphasises that this is a one-time opportunity and encourages candidates to take advantage of it wisely.There will be no more chances to apply or make corrections for JEE Main 2024 Session 2. To correct any errors, candidates should go to the website and confirm their information. They must update any missing information in their Application Forms by the deadline of March 7, 2024 (up to 11:50PM). After this date, the NTA will not accept correction requests. JEE Main 2024 session 2 application fee
In order to successfully submit their online application, candidates are required to pay the application fee for JEE Main 2024. The payment can only be made through online mode, using methods such as Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, Paytm, or UPI. It’s important to note that the application fee has been revised for all categories and for both Indian and Overseas candidates. There are different fees for candidates opting for a single paper and those opting for multiple papers.
For male candidates of Unreserved/EWS/OBC categories, the fee is INR 1,000 for centres in India and INR 5,000 for centres outside India.
Female candidates in the same categories are required to pay INR 800 for centres in India and INR 4,000 for centres outside India. While filling the JEE Main exam form, candidates are required to upload their recent photos, within the specified guidelines as per NTA. Aspirants are required to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per the specified guidelines. It is essential to have a recent photograph and signature scanned beforehand for submission. Here are some important details to remember while uploading the scanned images:

  • The photograph should be coloured or black/white with clear contrast, and it must include the candidate’s name and the date of taking the photograph printed on it.
  • Caps or sunglasses are not allowed in the photograph, but spectacles are permitted. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
  • Unclear photographs will lead to rejection of the application.
  • Candidates are advised to keep 6-8 identical photographs for future purposes, including seat allocation and the admission process.
