Lukas Gage Refers To His Short Marriage To Chris Appleton As A “Manic Episode”: “I Don’t Know Literally What Went Through My Head”

Lukas Gage opened up about his brief marriage to Chris Appleton.

The Road House star stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night (March 19), where host Andy Cohen admitted that he was “surprised that [Gage] got married after dating someone for two months,” per People.

Gage deemed the choice “absolutely unhinged,” claiming that he “had a manic episode for six months.”

Last April, the actor and the A-list hairstylist “got married in fur coats by Kim Kardashian in Las Vegas,” as Cohen pointed out prior to asking Gage “what happened.”

Gage replied, “I don’t know literally what went through my head, but we live and we learn.”

Cohen asked Gage about the divorce — which Appleton filed for in November 2023, per People — and “allegations of cheating,” which Gage denied, claiming that “there was no cheating.”

“Oh god Andy, there’s a three-letter thing that I signed,” he revealed, potentially referring to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), per Page Six.

Cohen reiterated that it “seemed wild” for Gage and Appleton to tie the knot after only two months together, to which Gage said, “That’s kind of how I roll.”

“I’m a little impulsive, you know me, but, that was probably one of the most unhinged things I’ve ever done in my life, and I’ll probably have six other marriages,” Gage shared.

Cohen later poked fun at their wedding day attire, asking whose decision it was to don fur coats.

Gage emphasized, “Not mine,” before eventually deeming the fur coats “a horrible idea.” He even went so far as to apologize to Shania Twain “for wasting her time,” as the country artist sang “You’re Still The One” for he and Appleton.

“I mean, ‘we’re still holding on,’ ‘you’re still the one’ after, like, three weeks? That was unhinged,” he claimed, calling it “the biggest waste of her time.”

He also praised their famous officiant, telling Cohen, “Kim’s great. She was really sweet to fly us all out and take care of us and pay for everything, but —”

“And put you on her show?” Cohen interjected, referring to an episode of The Kardashians, and ultimately prompting Gage to issue a dual apology.

“Sorry to Kim and Shania,” he concluded with a chuckle.

Of course, he and fellow guest Katie Maloney got to chat about other topics with Cohen, including Gage’s new film. Elsewhere in the episode, Cohen shared some thoughts on the new Road House remake ahead of its Prime Video release on Thursday.

“It looks so great,” he said. “Forgive me for saying this but I mean it in the highest compliment: it kind of looks like gay porn a little bit.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
