For the unversed, Shloka Mehta is the daughter of Russell and Mona Mehta. Russell Mehta is the Managing Director of Rosy Blue India, which has interests in diamonds, retail, real estate, etc.
In a video from the event, which is doing the rounds on social media, Mukesh Ambani can be seen praising Shloka and expressing how happy they are to have Shloka as their ‘bahu‘. Mukesh Ambani said at the event, “It is said of the Palapuris that they don’t share their businesses or their daughters. Their businesses go from one generation to another and their daughters only go to their community. We were fortunate five year ago, we got Russell’s daughter, Shloka, who came into the Ambani family. All my friends really thought that Nita is a great diamond picker and she picked Shloka from the Palanpuri family… But unfortunately, we were all wrong. It was Akash and Shloka, who were in school together and we didn’t very much realise their romance. So Shloka is the true diamond from your industry and from the Palanpuri industry in our family who radiates warmth and wisdom for all of us.”

Shloka is married to Mukesh and Nita Ambani‘s elder son, Akash, in 2019. It is known that Shloka and Akash studied together at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School and they were childhood sweethearts. Now, the lovely couple has two children- son Prithvi and daughter Veda- together.
On the work front, Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s elder son Akash has studied from Brown University. From June 2022, he is serving as the Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL). Meanwhile, Shloka works for her family’s philanthropic arm– Rosy Blue Foundation. Shloka’s mother Mona Mehta is a jewellery designer herself. Shloka has two siblings– an elder brother Viraj and a younger sister Diya. While her brother Viraj manages their diamond trading business, her sister Diya- who is close friends with Shloka’s nanad Isha Ambani Piramal- works as a Fashion Consultant.
