Mandy, a BBC Studios comedy production written and acted by Diane Morgan, is back on TV.

The show explores the adventures of one hapless woman and her colourful and disastrous experiences in the modern UK gig economy.

Season one, which first debuted in 2019, explored Mandy’s adventures as a banana factory worker, dog walker, voodoo practitioner, human sushi platter, robber, and Airbnb host to a Russian spy on the run.

The show is written and directed by Morgan herself. Morgan is a familiar face in the TV world by now following starring roles in BBC sitcom Motherland, mockumentary Cunk On Britain, and Ricky Gervais’s comedy drama After Life.

i praised the 2022 return for its “gleefully silly performances” as well as for its “knife-sharp writing”.

The third season debuted on Wednesday 27 March at 10pm on BBC Two. All videos are currently available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
