Animal Control‘s Season 2 finale airs Wednesday, May 8 on FOX, and when the end credits roll on another delightful episode, fans will surely be wondering if Frank and team will return to TV screens in the future.
Season 2, Episode 9 of Animal Control, titled “Beagles And Lemurs,” airs on FOX from 9:02 to 9:32 p.m. ET. For those curious, the official FOX synopsis is as follows: “Frank’s investigation reaches a thrilling conclusion, only for an unexpected twist to throw his victory into question. Emily finds herself in an awkward position when she realizes she still has feelings for Shred.”
In addition to catching up with Frank (Joel McHale), Fred “Shred” Taylor (Michael Rowland), Emily Price (Vella Lovell), Amit Patel (Ravi Patel), Victoria Sands (Grace Palmer), and Templeton Dudge (Gerry Dee), Animal Control‘s sophomore season welcomed exciting guest stars Sarah Chalke, Thomas Lennon, and Krystal Smith. We even got an iconic Community reunion when Ken Jeong graced screens as dog trainer Roman Park.

Will There Be An Animal Control Season 3 On FOX?
Good news, Joel McHale fans! Animal Control will live to see another season. FOX renewed the beloved workplace comedy for Season 3 ahead of its Season 2 premiere (March 6) in an early decision that bodes well for the success of the series.
“Animal Control is an incredibly irreverent series that expresses everything viewers expect from a FOX comedy,” Michael Thorn, president of scripted programming for Fox Entertainment, said in a press release. “It has an amazing amount of momentum behind it, and we’ve been so impressed by the work Joel, Bob, Rob, Dan, Tad, Jake and the entire cast are delivering for Season Two we wanted to reward them with the opportunity to deliver even more of this special show to fans next season.”
According to FOX, Animal Control, the network’s first wholly owned live-action comedy, launched as its most-streamed debut ever in 2023, so it’s easy to see why they want more.
“The series premiere of Animal Control marked FOX’s most-streamed debut in network history, and most-streamed comedy episode ever in the network’s history. It averages 5.2 million multi-platform viewers, including 2.6 million on Hulu, a lift of +302% from Live + Same Day,” the press release noted.
