‘Wonka,’ ‘The Beekeeper,’ + More

Fans were initially unsure if we needed yet another Willy Wonka movie in our lives, but in Wonka, which is one of this week’s new movies on VOD, Timothée Chalamet has proven that the story of the world’s most mysterious chocolatier was one worth telling. You can catch Wonka on demand, along with Jason Statham’s latest action film The Beekeepers. (Pair them up for a sweet double feature!)

Also out this week is the new romantic comedy Which Brings Me To You, starring Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff, based on the novel of the same name. In that film, Hale and Wolff play Jane and Will, two singles who meet at a wedding and hook up there, who then spend the next 24 hours together getting to know each other and regaling one another with stories of failed past loves and end up finding something special with one another.

These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.

Like it’s 1971 predecessor, this film is a musical and features several new, original songs, as well as reprises of songs like “Pure Imagination” and “Oompa Loompa.”

New year, new Jason Statham action movie where he either a) plays a “normal” guy who has a secret, dangerous past b) seeks revenge against those who have wronged him or a loved one, c) kicks serious ass, or, the correct answer, d) all of the above. In The Beekeepers, Statham plays Adam Clay, an actual beekeeper who’s trying to live a normal, bucolic life, until his landlord dies under mysterious circumstances. So what does he do? He calls in a favor from The (metaphorical) Beekeepers to avenge her death. The Beekeepers are a highly trained secret group whose mission is to protect the country and, you guessed it, Adam’s one of them. Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson and Jeremy Irons co-star,
