What is JoSAA?

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have qualified in JEE Main or JEE Advanced exams can participate in JoSAA counselling if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
Secured qualifying ranks in JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch., or B.Plan. papers) or JEE Advanced as applicable.
Fulfilled the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria set by the institutes.
JoSAA Counselling Process
The JoSAA counselling process involves several stages:
• Registration: Register on the JoSAA website using your JEE exam credentials.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Fill and lock your preferred choices of institutes and programs in order of priority.
• Seat Allocation: JoSAA conducts multiple rounds of seat allocation based on choices, category, and merit rank.
• Acceptance of Seat and Reporting: Accept the allocated seat, participate in further rounds, or withdraw from counselling. Accepted candidates must report to the institute for document verification and admission formalities.
